Being a student-teacher

Following the ICT session that instructed the student-teachers to prepare a presentation and conduct a seminar session, this class was held on 16.03.2021. Student-teachers came up with their presentation and presented it to the class. Not only we understood the benefits of using PPT as a tool to teach, we also understood the different ways in which we can use the same presentation because every student-teachers presented their slides in their own style. It was one session to be remembered. I made a presentation on the topic, " Mass Media and Gender Equality"  from the course subject 'Gender, School and Society'.   ICT stands for Information and Communication Technology. We have a separate class for ICT where we learn everything about ICT. We learnt the importance of using the tools of ICT to teach and how it can be put to use in everyday life to help students learn and understand better. The following were the input in our ICT session. We learnt about ICT, its uses, scope, advantage, disadvantages and its role in education. We also learnt the various steps being adopted by the government in this regard. Various e-platforms like Swayam helps children across the country learn online for free. We learnt how to use a computer and the internet connection to create a Gmail account. As basic as it sounds, there are a lot of student-teachers who are first-generation learners and graduates. They may not have had access to a lot of these facilities earlier. So for the benefit of all everything about Computers and the internet were taught from scratch. We were also taught to connect projectors to...

We received our first assignment today. This is a part of the psychology paper: Childhood and growing up. This Assignment aims to gather the personal details of an individual along with their likes and dislikes. In the second year of the course, when student-teachers work as trainees in a school they will be asked to hold one student as their subject and gather the complete details of the student. Analyzing these details will help the trainee teacher to reason out the performance of that student. In order to obtain earlier practice, a format of this questionnaire was given to us. In this format, the student-teacher becomes the subject. It is like a self-analysis. Below attached is the format of the datasheet. Stay tuned for more updates!    

Regular Updates... Our Beloved Principal, Dr. S. Arockiaraj, never misses an opportunity to visit the classroom and share his knowledge with the students. Not only does he make it laughable but also makes it very much thoughtful. In one such class, Sir, explained the various types of intelligence that every human should possess. He also very exquisitely explained the various aspects of these intelligence types explaining how and when we use them in our day-to-day life. it was not only interesting but also extremely informative. 

 Woman’s Day is one day that calls for a real celebration. Needless to say, Paulsons Teacher Training College never misses an opportunity to celebrate women. The humble celebration started at about 3:00 p.m and went for about an hour and a half. The celebration began with felicitating the women of the college both staff and students. Male staff and students shared wonderful memories about the women of their life and also various aspects and importance of womanhood. Paulsons Teacher Training College - 2021 academic year inauguration function took place on 11.02.2021. Marking the commencement of the academic year the function was carried out by inviting all the staff and students along with the Chairman and Principal of the institution. All the dignitaries and the staff gave their felicitation speech motivating the newcomers and also briefing about the curriculum of the course.
